Cindy recieved a B.S. degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from UC Berkeley and started her Ph.D. with the Furst Lab in 2020. Her interests span electrochemical biosensors, translational research, infectious diseases and human health. Her current work focuses on engineering electrochemical biosensors for diagnosing disease in low-resource settings and she is particularly interested in solving challenges around translating sensors to actual devices and products. Outside of the lab, Cindy loves board games, video games, cooking and rock climbing.
