Kelly is a graduate student in the department of Biological Engineering. During her time as an undergraduate at Northwestern University, Kelly researched the role of environmental microbes in carbon cycling using metabolomics. Her current project leverages structural organization of engineered microbial communities to enhance interspecies cross-feeding and generate metabolic niches. Originally from MA, she enjoys hiking, playing soccer, and listening to live music.
