Patty grew up in Taiwan and graduated from National Taiwan University in June 2024 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. During her undergraduate studies, she focused on tissue engineering combined with polymer synthesis. Her research involved fabricating scaffolds for human cells to influence cell behavior and organization. At MIT, Patty is co-advised by Prof. Furst and Prof. Brushett from Jan 2025, and her research centers on bio-electrochemistry for waste recovery. Outside of research, Patty enjoys playing table tennis and is a master at the game Overcooked.
